Michael Tracy, CFP

Principal and Chief Investment Officer


Michael is the Principal of Principium Investments, LLC which builds portfolios based on traditional financial performance metrics, and integrates with ESG and values-based investment criteria. Michael has 33 years of experience in the financial services industry, with over 30 years as a Portfolio Manager, and 23 years as a Certified Financial Planning Practitioner. Michael’s commitment to relationships and performance results have enabled him to maintain long term clients, with multiple 3rd and now 4th generation clients. 

Michael combines his investment prowess with beneficial purpose, committing profits from Principium to be used to build social enterprises - self-sustaining profit making companies that also do societal good. Michael is a Founder and Principal of The Global Brain, which brings together creative minds from the advertising and innovation industries to do good causes. The Global Brain has been working with departments and agencies of the United Nations since mid 2014, creating events, building projects, and developing creative concepts to further the mission of the UN.

Michael served for 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve and has 27 years of active martial arts training in multiple styles resulting in a Black Belt in Shuri Ryu Karate and a Brown Belt in Shinto Yoshin Ryu Jui Jitsu, among other designations. Michael’s three children and two foster children are now also getting involved in service and social enterprise to improve global communities.


Irina sedova

Director of Operation


Irina brings more than a decade of experience managing the operations of global financial services and economic development programs totaling more than $100 million. She started her career working for the financial consultancy of Edwin T. Burton Inc., where she conducted financial analysis for large pension fund and high net worth clients under the mentorship of Edwin Burton, former Senior Vice President of Smith Barney and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Retirement System. She went on to manage economic development and financial services programs for the largest international development consulting firm, Chemonics International, in countries such as the Philippines, Mongolia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique. As Country Operations Manager, Irina co-led multinational teams to bring over $2 billion in foreign direct investment and 50,000 jobs to communities throughout Ukraine, yielding a return on investment of 73:1.

Irina studied economics and finance at the University of Virginia to build thriving economies after growing up in the scarcity of the Soviet Union. She has also run her own sustainable travel management company and worked or volunteered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Red Cross, OSCE, the Colorado Horse Rescue and organizations that provide life-skills services to at-risk and homeless youth. She is described by her colleagues as a “woman of steel”, by her friends as a “woman of heart” and by her clients as the most “enthusiastic, poised and professional” manager they have come across.

As an experienced event planner including three and half years managing a non-profit, Jennifer has perfected the ability to efficiently handle a vast number of responsibilities and deadlines. Her outgoing enthusiasm, friendly professionalism and broad skill sets have served our clients well for over four years.

When she is not engaging with clients, organizing systems, executing programs or planning an event, you can find Jennifer running, biking or skiing the countless Colorado mountain trails with her husband and son.


Praful shah

Chairman of the Advisory Board


Praful grew up in an Indian village without electricity and running water. After high school, he came to the US for college where he obtained his B.S. in Chemistry and PhD in Pharmaceutics. He spent over thirty years as a scientist, and an executive in research and development of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Since his retirement in 2007, he has been an entrepreneur and a successful private investor focused mainly on social impact companies. He has invested in over fifty startup companies including Aunt Bertha, Bhakti Chai, P2Bi, PharmaJet, Primatemp, Revolar, TeamSnap and Uncharted Play. Praful invests in companies that blend improving the lives of people, society and financial returns. He is forever grateful to all the people and organizations that helped him achieve his potential beyond imagination; and that is what he wants to do for others. He is a strong believer in good karma and its multiplying effect. His passion is to alleviate poverty of all kind (especially ignorance) and provide richness to lives.
