Our Investment Approach

Our investment philosophy is rooted in 30 years of portfolio management experience through market upturns and downturns. We believe that active management is the best way to protect and grow client assets. We therefore employ a dynamic investment strategy, using tactical asset allocation to match evolving market conditions. We take a long-term view of risk management and avoidance, drawn from financial, economic and systems theorists.

The architecture of our investment models seeks to mimic the natural world, where everything is interrelated and interdependent. This design allows us to see the whole of money flows and continually adjust according to economic, political and public awareness environments.

We do not outsource portfolio design. Our clients know their portfolio manager and have his personal cell phone number for questions. We build portfolios using tax efficient and low cost investment strategies such as ETFs and no-load mutual funds. When using mutual funds, we select managers that have demonstrated ability to consistently outperform their peer groups and their appropriate market indices, as well as provide superior risk-return and capture ratios.

We utilize an integrated analysis approach that includes 1) Fundamental Financial Analysis 2) Technical Financial Analysis and 3) ESG - Environmental, Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance Analysis. Using data from leading providers such as Morningstar and MSCI, intelligence from industry experts and our in-house expertise, we construct portfolios that deliver optimized market-based financial and societal returns to individual and institutional investors as well as company retirement plans. These portfolios are tailored to each client's financial objectives, time horizon, risk tolerance, tax situation and cash flow needs.
